Perfect Tween Room for Ella: A Space to Grow and Shine 🌸✨

1. The Vision for Ella’s Room: Function Meets Style 💫


I’ve always dreamed of creating a space for Ella that feels as special as she is. Since she spends so much time in her room, I wanted it to be a place she truly loves. As she enters her pre-teen years, we refreshed her space to match her evolving style. Now, it’s the perfect blend of calm, creativity, and comfort—just what she needs as she grows. 🌿


Whether you’re looking for design inspiration or seeking ways to organize your own kid’s space, this room makeover has something for everyone.


Tip: Before choosing furniture, create a list of needs for the space. For Ella, that meant a cozy reading nook, ample storage, a stylish vanity, and a space for studying. ✨


2. The Perfect Vanity: Stylish Yet Functional 🎀


One of the key pieces of Ella’s room is her Pottery Barn Teen Auburn Super Storage Vanity, which gives her a dedicated space to do her hair, skincare, and get ready for the day. I love that it’s not only stylish but also has plenty of storage for her beauty essentials, making mornings so much easier


To keep things organized, we added bamboo organizers to her vanity, ensuring all her beauty essentials have a designated place. Adding personal touches made this space extra special, like cozy fairy lights. It’s been amazing to see how much she enjoys having a space that truly feels like hers. 🪞

To complete the look, we added a plush PBTeen Tufted Round Storage Ottoman with hidden storage, doubling as a comfy seat and a great spot to tuck away small items.



3. Reading Nooks: A Cozy Escape 📖


Ella is a total bookworm and loves to journal, so we dedicated two separate reading nooks in her room to make sure she always has a cozy spot to curl up with a book.


  • The Lounger: A comfy, oversized lounger nestled in the corner, perfect for relaxing with a book or journaling.

  • The Hang-Around Chair: A fun and stylish hanging chair that adds a playful element to her space while also giving her a quiet place to unwind.


Both spaces are designed to feel inviting, with soft blankets, plush pillows, and warm lighting to create the ultimate reading retreat.



4. Desk Area: A Space for Creativity & Focus 🎨📚


As Ella takes on more schoolwork and creative projects, having a dedicated desk area was a must. We found the perfect desk that provides ample workspace, storage drawers, and a modern aesthetic to fit the rest of the room’s design.


She now has a space to do homework, draw, and even journal—without distractions. To add a fun and personal touch, we included a record player for all her Taylor Swift vinyls (and we LOVE shopping for them at Target - they have the best versions that Ella loves! 🎶).



5. The Final Look: A Room She Can Grow Into 💖


The transformation is complete, and I’m so proud of how Ella’s room turned out. It’s a space that she loves spending time in, and one that will grow with her as her style evolves. Whether she’s hosting friends, reading her favorite books, or just relaxing, this room will continue to be her sanctuary for years to come. 🌟


The best part is knowing that it’s a space where she can feel empowered, express herself, and truly be herself. I’ll forever cherish these moments as she grows older.
